Ronaldo shared on Al Nassr TV : "I received some invitations to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, but I think that is not reasonable. I want to have time to rest and prepare well, because this season will be very long, especially the World Cup will take place at the end of the season".
Ronaldo is looking forward to his sixth World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico next summer. Earlier this week, CR7 signed a new two-year contract with Al Nassr, until 2027.
The Sun said Ronaldo's contract is worth £492 million, making it the most valuable individual sports contract in history.
Since making his international debut in 2003, Ronaldo has scored 138 goals in 221 games for Portugal. He is the owner of 5 Ballons d'Or and has participated in 11 major tournaments, winning 2 Nations League titles and 1 Euro 2016.
At Al Nassr, Ronaldo scored 99 goals in 111 matches. CR7 aims to reach 1,000 goals in his career. Currently, the 40-year-old striker has 938 goals at club and national team level.
