Quang Ngai strengthens fishing vessel management

(QNgTV) - As of May 2025, Quang Ngai has 4,931 registered fishing vessels, of which 1,385 vessels have been inspected since the beginning of the year.

The total number of fishing vessels registered in the province as of May 2025 is 4,931. The total number of fishing vessels inspected at the Quang Ngai Fishing Vessel Inspection Center since the beginning of the year is 1,385, the number of vessels that have been inspected and are still valid for inspection is 3,446/3,856 vessels, reaching a rate of 90%.

To date, all fishing vessels of 15 meters or more have been fully entered into the VNFishbase software. The list of fishing vessels that have not been licensed, registered, or have not installed VMS equipment has been sent to localities for assignment to grassroots officials to monitor, manage, and supervise shore anchorage locations and operating status, ensuring that fishing vessels that do not meet the requirements do not participate in marine fisheries exploitation.
