Tay Ninh receives 38 citizens returning home from Cambodia

On July 3 and 4, the Moc Bai International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard, in coordination with the Police force, organized the reception, screening and verification of 38 citizens handed over by the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia and the Cambodian Police force.

Tay Ninh received 38 citizens returning home from Cambodia.

Among the 38 citizens received, there were 27 men and 11 women, coming from 22 provinces and cities across the country. These citizens were raided by Cambodian authorities in Svay Rieng province for violating regulations on entry, exit and illegal labor.

Through the screening and verification process, the authorities discovered 29 people who had worked in companies operating online gambling and fraud in Cambodia. Some of these companies were located in the areas of TiTan King, Kim Sa, Venus, Ly Chau and Shanhai, Tam Thai Tu area (3 citizens). Among the citizens who were repatriated, the authorities also discovered 3 people with criminal records related to: theft, causing trouble, drugs... and 5 people with criminal records for: gambling, drugs.
