On July 5, 2025, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) and the Youth Union of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) officially launched the pilot version of the P-Coin Green Credit System, a initiating step in the application and deployment of blockchain technology in the highereducation environment.

Pioneering blockchain technology testing
In the spirit of Resolution 57/NQ-CP and the Law on Digital Technology Industry, which encourages educational institutions to promote innovation and start-ups in the digital technology field, attract investment and deploy the "sandbox" testing model in higher education institutions, the PTIT Center for Innovation and Startups develops and launches the P-Coin Green Credit System. This is considered a revived step, becoming the first university to test blockchain technology towards application and encouraging green lifestyle on the Academy campus.
Participating in pressing the button to launch the P-Coin trial version, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Deputy Director of PTIT emphasized the P-Coin Green Credit System is an important milestone marking the journey of innovation, digital transformation and scientific research of the Academy's lecturers and young union members.

PTIT is proud to be one of the pioneers in the field of training, scientific research and technology transfer, especially in key areas such as information technology, communications, network security and digital technology. PTIT clearly identifies that in order to thrive in the digital age, university education cannot stand aside, but needs to boldly experiment, innovate and apply new technologies to teaching practices and school life.
The P-Coin green credit system is not just a simple digital technology application, but also contains the aspiration to build a dynamic, civilized school community, a green, sustainable learning environment, rich in community awareness. Through P-Coin, good deeds, positive habits such as cycling, picking up trash, planting trees, donating blood... will be recognized with this friendly, humane "digital currency". This is how PTIT's young lecturers bring technology closer to real life, making each good deed a part of PTIT students' digital culture.
In the first pilot phase, the P-Coin green credit system is integrated with the Green Edu Bike App to encourage bicycle use when traveling between the Academy's training facilities. This is a green transportation model that helps reduce pollution, improve health, and contribute to spreading a green lifestyle among the student community.
With a long-term vision and clear roadmap, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Anh believes that P-Coin will soon become the "digital companion" of PTIT students, contributing to building a smart, modern, and sustainable learning environment.
Towards digital university, green university
The P-Coin green credit system is a groundbreaking initiative that combines blockchain technology with green lifestyle promotion activities on the Academy campus. It has no real money conversion function, does not allow buying, selling or speculating, and is fully compliant with Vietnamese law.
P-Coin is designed as an internal digital credit system, where positive activities such as cycling, picking up trash, planting trees or donating blood, etc. are recorded and converted into P-Coin reward points. These activities are encouraged to be widely deployed in all 9 training facilities of the Academy, with the expectation that nearly 30,000 students, staff and lecturers of the Academy will participate from the 2025-2026 school year.
Through this project, PTIT not only aims to test advanced digital technology, but also aims to build a green, healthy and creative learning space - where students are encouraged to act for the community and develop skills in the digital environment.

Sharing about the project's next development plan, Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Head of Science and Technology Management and International Cooperation Department, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, said that the P-Coin ecosystem will continue to expand in scale and function, aiming to build an internal digital financial playground, integrating digital assets, activity credits, and a modern academic interaction platform for the PTIT student community./.
