composed, the Security and Health Subcommittee under the Organizing Committee of the 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports and related meetings in Vietnam was established, consisting of 24 members, with Mr. Nguyen Huy Khich, Colonel, Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Political Security, Ministry of Public Security as Head of the Subcommittee. Mr. Vuong Anh Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health as Deputy Head of the Subcommittee.
Establishment of the Security and Health Subcommittee of the Organizing Committee of the 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports and Related Meetings in Vietnam, consisting of 24 members
The Security and Health Subcommittee is responsible for assisting the Organizing Committee in developing a plan to ensure security and health at the Conference area, at the hotel, and for transportation and pick-up and drop-off between the airport and the hotel for delegates attending the Conference.
In particular, deploying security and order assurance for the Conference and sideline events; Arranging traffic police vehicles to guide delegates who are Ministers/Heads of delegations according to program activities and deploying protection plans for Party and State leaders and international guests with security guards; Creating conditions for entry and exit of international delegates at international airports and border gates of Vietnam; Deploying medical work for delegates attending the Conference.
In addition, the Security and Health Subcommittee is also responsible for implementing the strict review and approval of delegates attending the Conference during the preparation and organization of the Conference; Organizing security and health training for volunteers and liaison officers serving the Conference.
In 2025, Vietnam will host the 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports (AMMS 8) and related meetings, including the 5th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports + Japan (AMMS + Japan 5) and the 2nd ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports + China (AMMS + China 2).
The 8th ASEAN Sports Ministers Meeting is held under the theme: "Orientation of sports contributing to sustainable development" scheduled to take place in October 2025 in Hanoi. The main discussion contents include the contents of the ASEAN Action Program on Sports, focusing on professional sports development, sports science, sports economics, gender equality in sports, preservation and promotion of traditional sports, establishment of the ASEAN High Performance Sports Center, sports and health, sports towards the Millennium Development Goals; building development directions, promoting ASEAN cooperation in the field of sports, promoting sports cooperation between ASEAN member countries and dialogue countries China, Japan, Korea and international organizations....
The conference is expected to be attended by 100 international delegates, including: Ministers/Deputy Ministers of Sports or Heads of Sports Agencies of ASEAN member countries and Timor Leste (ASEAN observer country), ASEAN senior officials in charge of sports and representatives of sports from ASEAN countries and Timor Leste; ASEAN Secretariat; delegations of leaders of ministries and senior officials in charge of sports from Japan and China; representatives of international organizations and relevant ASEAN dialogue countries.
Vietnam also contributed about 100 delegates including: representatives of Government leaders attending and speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports; the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism chairing the 8th AMMS Conference, related Conferences and bilateral meetings during the Conference; 01 Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism as Head of the Vietnamese Delegation attending the Conference; representatives of relevant agencies of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; invited delegates attending the Conference are representatives of leaders of other agencies, ministries and sectors...
