10 years of love connection
In 2015, the program “SeABankers For Children” was first implemented with the desire to bring joy, spiritual encouragement and practical support to children in remote areas. Stemming from that wish, gifts of urgent need were directly sent by SeABankers to schools in remote areas with many difficulties.
The love given grows more and more as the program has become an annual activity of the Bank, which is awaited by employees. Because this program targets poor children, orphans, disabled children, children at social protection centers, SOS children's villages, and charity homes to motivate them to study, nurture their dreams, thereby spreading the love and community responsibility of SeABank .
After 10 years of implementation, “SeABankers For Children” has been increasingly expanded with diverse activities such as: Awarding scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties to encourage the spirit of learning and support them to go to school; building and repairing schools and classrooms , especially in remote and isolated areas with many shortages; donating textbooks, notebooks and school supplies to students; donating teaching equipment to support centers; building mini libraries; organizing zero-dong kitchens; planting trees... In particular, the footsteps of SeABank volunteer groups have left their mark in nearly 40 provinces and cities across the country, from the plains to the mountains, from urban areas to remote areas lacking living and learning conditions.
During the journey, more than 10,000 gifts were given, more than 5,000 children received scholarships and school supplies, more than 30 schools were repaired, newly built, and equipped with essential teaching equipment. Tens of thousands of books, notebooks, warm clothes, blankets, shoes and other necessities were given to children in the highlands, helping them to be more confident on their path to study. To date, the total cost of the program is more than 4.5 billion VND - all from voluntary contributions of more than 5,300 SeABank employees nationally.
Continuously committed to the future generation
In the provinces and cities where SeABank is present, each branch is a "love station" - connecting the community, spreading the culture of sharing. Every year, hundreds of bank staff voluntarily spend their time and effort on activities such as: awarding scholarships, building schools, organizing children's festivals, visiting and giving gifts to orphans and disabled children, supporting school facilities... Even the charity journey "SeABankers For Children" has traveled to many areas where SeABank has not yet established branches such as Ha Giang, Son La, Lai Chau, Dak Nong ...
Each school SeABank visited created sympathy with teachers, students and local people. In 2019, Pa Lau commune (Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province), one of the most difficult destinations in the northern mountainous region, people still live mainly on agriculture, and children's learning conditions are still limited. After traveling hundreds of kilometers, the road to the commune was also difficult, SeABank's volunteer group came and gave gifts to more than 170 children. Extremely moved by this sentiment, Mr. Mua A Sung - Chairman of Pa Lau Commune People's Committee shared : "I am very grateful for the hearts of SeABank staff. The volunteer group did not hesitate to travel long distances and inclement weather to give gifts directly to the children. It is a valuable and valuable sharing".
In particular, 2024 and 2025 mark a turning point for the program through the initiative "Cooking for children - 0 VND buffet". More than 400 nutritious meals were prepared by SeABank employees for children at Chieu Yen Primary School, Yen Son, Tuyen Quang. At Chi Diem school (Tan Thanh commune, Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province), the activity "Cooking for children - 0 VND buffet" received positive responses from students . " I wish I could eat like this once a week, this is the first time I have had a buffet " , Mai Anh, a 4th grade student, shyly held her teacher's hand and shared.
In addition, 2025 is also a milestone for the continuation of the journey of spreading love and supporting the dreams of Vietnamese children when it marks a decade since the Dream Nurturing Scholarship Fund was officially established (2015). Over the past 10 years, the Fund has accompanied 209 poor and studious students on their journey to conquer knowledge, through the form of awarding periodic scholarships worth 1 million VND per month until the end of high school, increasing to 1.5 million VND/month from 2025. To date, the Fund has supported nearly 13 billion VND with the goal of fostering the dreams of Vietnamese children. Not simply financial support, each scholarship is also a word of encouragement, a handshake full of trust from SeABank employees who are always ready to share. To date, 59 of them have graduated from high school, many of whom continue to study at university and college, opening the door to dreams that once seemed far away.
Not only spreading love to the community, the spirit of "For Children" is also nurtured by SeABank right in the "common home" of SeABank. Every year, SeABank organizes activities for employees' children such as: giving gifts on the occasion of Children's Day, Lunar New Year; organizing drawing and storytelling competitions... Through these activities, children have more opportunities to develop comprehensively and connect with their parents' "second home", contributing to the formation of a generation of confident and dynamic young SeABankers, while demonstrating the Bank's deep concerns for the family life of its employees.
It can be seen that over the past decade, the SeABankers For Children journey has not only left its mark on the community but also become an important part of SeABank's corporate culture - a place that promotes social responsibility, fosters a spirit of love towards sustainable development. Ms. Le Thu Thuy - Vice Chairwoman of SeABank's Board of Directors said: "We always keep in mind that the value of an organization lies not only in its business results but also in its contribution to society. "SeABankers For Children" is a clear demonstration of that. We are committed to continuing our charitable journey, bringing a bright future to many Vietnamese children."
