Plan to merge press agencies in localities in the West

Implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, many localities in the Southwest region have had plans to merge local press agencies.

Can Tho City: It is expected that Can Tho Radio and Television Station (PT-TH) and Can Tho Newspaper will be merged into one unit. Currently, the Department of Home Affairs and the City Party Committee's Organization Board are consulting with competent authorities for consideration and decision.

Ca Mau : Merge Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio and Television Station into the Media - Press Center under the management of the Provincial Party Committee. Maintain the Provincial Party Committee's Electronic Information Portal and the Provincial Electronic Information Portal, but perform the correct functions and tasks.

Dong Thap : Merge Dong Thap Radio and Television Station with Dong Thap Newspaper to establish the Provincial Press and Communication Center, a public service unit under the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, end the operation of Dong Thap Electronic Information Portal, transfer functions and tasks to the Provincial Press and Communication Center.

Ben Tre: Electronic information portals, websites, magazines... under agencies, units, and localities are studying to end operations, transfer functions and tasks to Dong Khoi Newspaper and Ben Tre Radio and Television Station after the merger.

Soc Trang : Merge Soc Trang Radio and Television Station and Soc Trang Newspaper into Soc Trang Provincial Press Center.

An Giang: It is expected to establish the An Giang Provincial Press and Information Center on the basis of merging An Giang Newspaper, An Giang Radio and Television Station and Electronic Information Portals from the Provincial People's Committee Office, Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, Department of Information and Communications.
