The 7th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) is a cultural and artistic event, honoring cinematographic works of high artistic value, rich in humanity, with outstanding and unique creative marks of international and Vietnamese people. The event is an opportunity to discover and honor new talents of cinema; introduce outstanding works of cinematography around the world and connect, exchange and cooperate for mutual development, creating opportunities to expand the Vietnamese cinema market, integrating into the international cinema market.

With the slogan “Cinema: Creativity - Take Off”, this year’s Film Festival has brought colorful films with unique and creative styles, creating a vibrant, lively and unique Film Festival.

From more than 500 registered films, HANIFF 7 selected 117 feature films and short films from 51 countries and territories, including the US, France, Sweden, Russia, Denmark, China, Japan, Vietnam, Philippines, Chile, Colombia, Germany, India, Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Iceland, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, Greece, Egypt... Including 65 foreign films and 52 Vietnamese films.

This year's Closing and Award Ceremony was inspired by traditional folk art and culture interwoven with modern architectural works that are symbols of Hanoi, creating a youthful, vibrant atmosphere, suitable for the space of an International Film Festival, where art and culture are honored and developed. The main image exudes a profound Asian spirit, both imbued with Vietnamese tradition and bearing the elegant and sophisticated aesthetic of Hanoians.
