When coming to the mangrove ecosystem tourism area in the East of Dong Thap province, tourists can visit the national historical and cultural relic of the Royal Tomb in Long Hung (Son Quy ward) to learn and know more about the birthplace of a virtuous Empress Dowager Tu Du (Tu Du). The Royal Mausoleum was built in 1826, including the tomb and temple of Mr. Pham Dang Hung, the maternal grandfather of King Tu Duc, the father of Queen Mother Tu Du, the wife of King Thieu Tri... In addition, visitors cannot miss a special national relic recognized by the Prime Minister under Decision 694/QD-TTg dated July 18, 2024, which is the Truong Dinh Uprising sites in Dong Thap province. specifically, the Truong Dinh Uprising sites include: Truong Dinh's Tomb and Temple (Go Cong Ward); Truong Dinh Temple, Dark Leaves (Gia Thuan Commune), Dinh Pond (Tan Dong Commune); and Fortress (Tan Phu Tan Commune). At the Truong Dinh Uprising relic sites, tourists can learn about the life and career of Hero Truong Dinh, a bright highlight that adds to the heroic history of the nation's fight against foreign invaders and the hero's spirit... In addition, Go Cong also attracts tourists to visit ancient houses with dozens of ancient houses over 100 years old with unique East-West architecture such as the house of Governor Nguyen Van Hai (in Go Cong ward) built in 1860; Central communal house built in the late 19th century...

To promote the potential of local cultural and historical tourism, Dong Thap has focused on implementing activities to introduce and promote local tourism products and images, paying attention to exploiting new tours to attract tourists, which has been strengthened and implemented regularly through the connection and organization of travel agencies inside and outside the province; cooperation and association activities have been increasingly expanded and become more practical; travel agencies have proactively built tours, routes and expanded the tourism market between Dong Thap and other regions in the country.

Mr. Vo Pham Tan added that with its rich and diverse potential and advantages in natural resources and its rich history and culture, Dong Thap province is becoming an attractive destination for tourists. The reasonable exploitation of tourism potential combined with visiting historical and cultural relics will create conditions for Dong Thap tourism to develop sustainably to meet the needs of tourists in the integration period. Dong Thap currently has more than 20 travel agencies operating with over 200 motorboats transporting tourists, along with nearly 100 restaurants and hotels constantly improving the quality of services and products, meeting the needs of domestic and international tourists.
