(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Due to the impact of storm No. 5, prolonged heavy rain caused serious landslides in many locations on National Highway 45 through Yen Nhan commune with a huge amount of rock and soil, temporarily isolating Yen Nhan commune.

Currently, on National Highway 47, from Yen Nhan commune to Bat Mot commune, there are many landslides.

According to preliminary information, there are serious landslides in Lua village (Km111+500); Chieng village (Km113+500; Km113+550; Km113+600); Na Nghiu village (Km116+180; Km118+200), causing traffic disruption.

According to observations, the amount of landslides on National Highway 47 is very large.

Some landslides and bridge collapses.

Many landslides on negative slopes.

The amount of mud and soil that has fallen from the hill is huge, causing difficulties in clearing the route.

Faced with the above situation, road management units have mobilized machinery and equipment to level landslides causing traffic jams.

By 2:00 p.m. on August 27, the units had cleared the road at one location at Km111+500 through Lua village.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Pham Van Tuan: "Currently, National Highway 47 from Yen Nhan to Bat Mot has landslides in many locations causing traffic jams. Because the entire route has not been completed, the volume of landslides on the entire route has not been determined. The Department of Construction is actively directing road management units to mobilize machinery and equipment, determined to clear the road as soon as possible, ensuring the travel needs of people on the Yen Nhan - Bat Mot route."

According to Chairman of Yen Nhan Commune Quach The Thuan: "The landslide has temporarily completely isolated Yen Nhan Commune. In the immediate future, the commune hopes for support in terms of food and provisions for people in isolated villages because local food sources can only meet the needs of about 3 to 4 days. We hope that relevant sectors of the province will mobilize high-capacity excavators to clear the traffic route as soon as possible. At the same time, restore the telecommunications network and electricity system so that people can soon stabilize their lives."
