ACB Deputy General Director's family wants to buy 6 million ACB shares

Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) has just announced stock transactions of insiders and related persons of insiders of Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( ACB ).

Accordingly, Ms. Nguyen Thi To Luu, mother-in-law of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Member of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Director and Chief Financial Officer of ACB, registered to buy 6 million shares of the bank for personal needs.

The transaction method is order matching/negotiation within the period from July 28 to July 26, 2024. Before the transaction, Ms. Luu owned 833 ACB shares, accounting for 0.00002%. If the transaction goes smoothly, Ms. Luu will hold more than 6 million ACB shares, equivalent to 0.1343% of the bank's charter capital.

On the stock market, at the end of the session on June 25, ACB shares decreased by 0.21% to VND24,050/share with a trading volume of nearly 6.7 million units. With the above stock price, Ms. Luu estimated that she would have to spend VND144.3 billion to carry out this transaction.

In the most recent development, ACB announced the results of the stock issuance to pay dividends. Accordingly, the bank issued more than 582.6 million shares to pay dividends with the right exercise rate of 15% (equivalently, shareholders holding 100 current shares will receive 15 new shares).

Before the issuance, the total number of outstanding shares of ACB was nearly 3.9 billion shares, equivalent to a charter capital of VND 38,804.5 billion. After the issuance ended on June 3, 2024, the total number of shares of ACB increased to nearly 4.47 billion shares, equivalent to a charter capital of VND 44,667.

The expected time for transferring shares is before June 30, after the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation adjusts the Securities Registration Certificate.

In addition, ACB also plans to pay cash dividends at a rate of 10% (shareholders owning 1 share will receive 1,000 VND). The expected payment date is June 13. With more than 3.8 billion shares in circulation, the amount that ACB plans to spend on dividends is 3,884 billion VND .
