Nghe An: Highlights on May 14

* On the afternoon of May 14, continuing the 33rd Session, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the draft Resolution on piloting the addition of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province before submitting it to the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

* On the morning of May 14, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation held a conference to collect comments on the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended). Based on practical experience, the delegates proposed to the Provincial National Assembly Delegation 18 practical comments to complete the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended).

* On May 14, the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies organized a conference on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style on practicing democracy and strengthening the rule of law, ensuring social discipline". On the same day, the Vietnam Women's Union of Nghe An province organized the above topic together with the topic "Uncle Ho with women".

* On the morning of May 14, the Department of Home Affairs' administrative reform inspection team had a meeting with Nghia Dan district, one of the 7 units selected by the Provincial Steering Committee for Administrative Reform as a pilot unit for administrative reform in 2024. * On May 14, 1951, President Ho Chi Minh signed a decree to change the name of the Ministry of Economy to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This is an important milestone in the development history of the industry. After 73 years of construction and development, Nghe An Industry and Trade has strived to complete all tasks well, effectively serving the cause of local socio-economic development.

* A report from the Department of Planning and Investment of Nghe An province shows that as of April 30, 2024, the 2024 concentrated public investment plan had disbursed VND 988,933 billion, reaching 21.37% of the plan, higher than the same period (15.3%) and higher than the national average (estimated at 17.46%). However, many units have not yet disbursed public investment capital.
