Accordingly, new community media teams were established in 8 communes and towns, including Lung Vai, Thanh Binh, Ta Ngai Cho, Pha Long, Din Chin, La Pan Tan, Ta Thang and Muong Khuong town with 300 participating members.
The Women's Unions of communes and towns have supervised and supported community communication teams to organize 56 communication activities, attracting the participation of 2,800 women members and people.

Community media groups in Muong Khuong district focus on propagating and mobilizing changes in "thinking and doing" to contribute to eliminating prejudices and gender stereotypes in families and communities, backward customs and some urgent social issues for women and children.
Building and replicating models to change "thinking and working methods", enhancing women's economic power; promoting gender equality and solving urgent problems of women and children.
Ensure the voice and participation of women and children in socio-economic development activities of the community, monitoring and criticism; support women to participate in leadership in the political system.
In addition, equip knowledge on gender equality and skills to implement gender mainstreaming for officials in the political system, village elders, religious dignitaries and prestigious people in the community.
