Bring creative spaces to visitors

Visitors excitedly participate in the scented candle making workshop at Lasong Hotel & Villas.

Yen Trung tourist village (Yen Truong commune) - the name evokes for visitors the simplicity, with many attractive experiences of rural culture. Although it is a new destination, everything in the village, from the lake, garden, ancient house, bungalow... to the creative spaces leave a deep impression on visitors. When coming here, visitors can participate in activities such as horse riding, walking on monkey bridges, archery, kayaking, fishing, harvesting vegetables... They can also participate in clay molding, creating products and items in the way they want. In particular, the outdoor cinema always brings a romantic and intimate atmosphere, making many people fascinated. It is that sincerity and simplicity that has made Yen Trung tourist village a "realistic creative space", where every action, from picking vegetables, fishing, cooking rice on a wood stove... are all experiences that aim at personal emotions, in the way they want.

Tourist Le Hai Yen from Ninh Binh shared: “As soon as we arrived here, everyone and I were very impressed with the cool green spaces, evoking very familiar images in our childhood memories. The special thing about the village is that visitors can relax their bodies, freely enjoy the way they want, completely unaffected by the available schedules. We made delicious leaf cakes together, molded lovely clay cups, then together fished in the pond, grilled fish with straw... A peaceful space but filled with laughter”.

If Yen Trung tourist village is a miniature countryside, recalling childhood memories, Lasong Hotel & Villas (Nam Sam Son ward) is a destination for young people who love creative arts. Coming here, visitors have the opportunity to participate in workshops on the art of making scented candles, oil painting, hand-painted conical hats, and ebru technique - painting on water. Lasong Hotel & Villas' workshops are not only a place for artistic creation but also a place for cultural exchange, when visitors learn new techniques and ideas, freely create with passionate hands, and leave with material products and inspiration spread.

With a space facing the sea, combined with gentle music and carefully prepared ingredients, many people said that they had "revived the dormant creativity". Ms. Le Huong, Director of Huong Viet Travel Gold (Thanh Hoa) shared after the workshop on the art of making scented candles: "It is rare to find a place where you can both admire Sam Son beach and make handmade scented candles in an inspiring open space like at Lasong Hotel & Villas. Based on instructions on basic technical steps, everyone is free to create according to their own ideas, bringing special emotions to visitors. This is also a plus point for travel businesses to renew their products when building tours when coming to explore and relax here".

It can be seen that the common point of creative tourism destinations is to create a connection between people and nature, between tourists and art, between the past and the present. Tourists in Yen Trung tourist village are the ones who "sow the seeds" and enjoy the fruits; while at Lasong Hotel & Villas, they are the artists, drawing their own stories in an open space filled with the breath of the ocean. Both prove that creative tourism does not necessarily have to be flashy, but more importantly, it is emotional, creates a profound experience and has a personal mark.

With the natural and cultural potential and strong changes in tourism development, representatives of some travel businesses believe that the model needs to be developed and replicated in many other destinations in the province. From cultural heritage tourism destinations such as Lam Kinh, Thanh Nha Ho, to community eco-tourism areas, or vibrant coastal tourist areas, creative tourism activities can be organized. More importantly, when creativity is placed at the center of the tourism experience, destinations need to develop based on their own strengths and cultural imprints to touch the emotions of visitors.
