This is the most important professional tournament for young athletes in the national chess competition system. The champions will officially represent Vietnam in international chess tournaments in 2026. The tournament brings together 443 athletes from 36 units nationwide. Of these, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are the two units with the most athletes participating in the tournament.
With the participation of athletes who have just won medals at the 2025 World Youth Chess Championship such as: Nguyen Nam Kiet, Tran Hoang Bao An, Duong Vu Anh, Tong Thai Hoang An, Hoang Tan Vinh, Nguyen Xuan Phuong, Nguyen Bao Nam, Nguyen Thanh Huong, Nguyen Binh Vy, along with many national and international young masters, the tournament promises to be a dramatic competition between young talents.
The 2025 National Youth Chess Championship for the Greenbia Kidsmore Cup is sponsored by the Korean beverage brand Greenbia Kidsmore, which is considered very suitable for supplementing micronutrients in the nutritional regimen during stressful competition days for young players. The total sponsorship value for the tournament from Greenbia Kidsmore is more than 400 million VND.
At the 2025 National Youth Chess Championship for the Greenbia Kidsmore Cup, athletes competed for 80 sets of individual medals for men and women in 10 age groups in 4 competitions: Standard chess, rapid chess, blitz chess, and super blitz chess.
The tournament will take place from now until July 28, 2025.
