Song Trang Border Guard Station visits and gives gifts to the elderly in difficult circumstances

Implementing the model of "Receiving sponsorship and supporting the elderly", on July 19, Song Trang Border Guard Station (located in Hung Dien commune, Tay Ninh province) organized a working delegation to visit and give gifts to 3 elderly people in difficult circumstances in Hung Dien commune.

Representatives of Song Trang Border Guard Station gave gifts to families in difficult circumstances in the area.

The delegation led by Captain Nguyen Dinh Thong - Deputy Political Commissar of Song Trang Border Guard Station, visited, encouraged and presented gifts including necessities and cash to the elderly: Nguyen Thi Hoa (Song Trang hamlet), Nguyen Van Nu (Nga Tu hamlet) and Huynh Thi Ba (Cay Me hamlet).

Each gift, although not large in material value, shows the affection and sincere care of border guards for the elderly in the area under their charge.

Border guards kindly inquire about the health of the elderly

The model of “Receiving and supporting the elderly” has been deployed by Song Trang Border Guard Station since 2023, with the goal of providing timely support to lonely and homeless elderly people. Accordingly, the unit assigns officers and soldiers to regularly visit and support their daily lives, while coordinating with local authorities and organizations to care for and encourage the elderly both materially and spiritually.

The model of "Sponsoring and supporting the elderly" will be deployed by Song Trang Border Guard Station from 2023.
