Electronic tax management, supporting taxpayers
The one-stop mechanism in the tax sector has been applied by the tax sector for many years, and continues to be promoted when Gia Lai province has just operated a two-level government. In which, the provincial level is responsible for receiving and handling major and difficult tax-related issues for organizations and enterprises; the commune level handles issues for local taxpayers.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son - Deputy Head of Gia Lai Province Tax said that the whole sector takes taxpayers as the center of service and is maximizing 16 specialized applications, modernizing all stages of tax management, support and tax collection. Currently, many applications and online public services of the Tax sector have been connected with banks and departments and branches in the province and integrated into the National Public Service Portal, allowing taxpayers to submit and track tax-related records.
Not only that, the provincial Tax Department also established and promoted communication channels such as Fanpage, Zalo, Gmail... to quickly and fully inform each taxpayer about the State's support policies. At the same time, it interacts, exchanges, answers, consults, and handles issues related to the tax field that taxpayers are interested in. "Currently, 99.5% of enterprises and organizations declare taxes electronically; the rate of electronic tax refund dossiers for enterprises, organizations, and individuals reaches 100%. The amount of tax paid electronically reaches 95% of the total state budget revenue", said Mr. Nguyen Duong Han, Deputy Head of Department of Enterprise Management and Support No. 1 (Provincial Tax).
Double benefit
Centralizing a single point of contact and applying information technology well helps businesses and people minimize time and travel costs, and quickly resolve issues related to the tax sector. People and businesses also have full access to information on procedures, necessary documents, processing time and fees in a public and transparent manner.
Regularly carrying out tax-related procedures, Mr. Phan Hong Quy, Director of Hoang Giang Trading Company Limited, in Phu Tai Industrial Park, specializing in manufacturing products from wood and rattan for export, said that currently, all tax-related procedures are carried out online, which is very convenient, helping businesses save time and focus on production and business activities.
People or businesses can also quickly resolve many other issues without going to the tax authority. For example, with procedures for granting land use right certificates, transferring, inheriting, donating land use rights, changing land use purposes, etc., immediately after receiving the necessary information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the provincial Tax Department uses specialized software to determine the financial obligations (land use fees, registration fees, personal income tax, etc.) that taxpayers must fulfill, and sends notifications to taxpayers and relevant agencies in the electronic environment.
For the tax sector, the effective operation of the one-stop mechanism has avoided the situation of officials harassing and causing trouble for personal gain, increased trust in the tax authority, and improved the efficiency of tax management and collection. In the first 6 months of 2025, the provincial tax sector collected 13,379 billion VND in domestic tax, reaching 58.7% of the annual estimate, up 42.3% over the same period.
Mr. Le Minh Nhut - Head of the Provincial Tax Department - said: Digital transformation is one of the top important tasks at the national level. This is also the priority orientation of the Ministry of Finance and the Provincial Tax Department in the coming time. Currently, the whole industry is maximizing the open, public, and transparent tax management model, ensuring the best support for taxpayers, while plugging loopholes in tax management, ensuring correct and full collection, completing the budget revenue estimate, serving the socio-economic development investment of the province.
