VFF creates the best conditions for U.23 Vietnam
Speaking at the meeting, VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu emphasized that VFF always cares, invests and creates all favorable conditions for the Vietnam U.23 team to have the best preparation for the 2025 Southeast Asian U.23 Championship, while aiming for big goals such as the 2026 Asian U.23 qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games.
This is also an orientation that has been implemented very early with parallel training sessions with the national team since the end of 2024 until now, along with creating conditions for the team to participate in quality international tournaments in China.
VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu encouraged the U.23 Vietnam team at their base in Ba Ria-Vung Tau. After the AFF Cup 2024, at the celebration ceremony for the Vietnamese team winning the championship, in his speech praising the team, Mr. Tu highlighted the role of coach Kim Sang-sik and called him Brother Sau.

During the training in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, the team was also arranged by VFF to have two practice matches with the U.23 Taiwan team, which were assessed to be effective in terms of expertise.
VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu also praised the training spirit, determination and focus of the whole team, towards the 2025 Southeast Asian U.23 Championship.

VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu emphasized that this is a tournament in which U.23 Vietnam has won twice in a row in 2022 and 2023. However , defending the achievement is not easy when opponents have invested heavily and upgraded their forces.
Mr. Tran Anh Tu encouraged the whole team to continue to do their best to affirm their position as defending champions and prove the right direction in training and developing youth football in Vietnam.
According to the plan, the U.23 Vietnam team will continue to practice in Ba Ria-Vung Tau until July 12, then move to Indonesia on the morning of July 14. Before leaving, coach Kim Sang-sik will announce the final list of 23 players.
Assigned by VFF, VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu will take on the role of head of the U.23 Vietnam delegation at this tournament.
The 2025 Southeast Asian U.23 Championship will take place from July 15 to 29. The Vietnam U.23 team will face Laos U.23 on July 19 and Cambodia U.23 on July 22 in the group stage.
Five more players will be eliminated from the U.23 Vietnam list.
