“Since I was a child, Uncle Ho's image has been deeply ingrained in my mind, thoughts and feelings. Therefore, when the Central Propaganda Department (now the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department) launched the Award for Composing and Promoting Literary, Artistic and Journalistic Works on the theme of "Studying and Following Ho Chi Minh's Thought, Morality and Style" in 2007, my feelings, affection and admiration for beloved Uncle Ho had a chance to flare up" - painter Che Kim Trung shared.

From the passion for painting, talent, diligence, hard work and respect for President Ho Chi Minh, artist Che Kim Trung focused his thoughts, searched for ideas and created the work "Cham Village Thanks Uncle Ho" using oil paint. The work clearly shows the improved life of the Cham people thanks to the contributions of the Party, the State and beloved Uncle Ho, with the center of the painting being the image of the Cham people excitedly standing around Uncle Ho. This work was awarded the Excellent Prize by the Central Propaganda Department (now the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department) in 2010. From then on, studying and following Uncle Ho became a source of lasting creativity, helping the artist to perfect his creative ability as well as his responsibility as an artist on the cultural front.

For more than 15 years of persistent and passionate creation on the theme of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", painter Che Kim Trung has won many awards. The works she submitted to the Award for Composing and Promoting Literary, Artistic and Journalistic Works on the theme of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" were awarded by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee such as: "Cham people follow Uncle Ho's words", prize C in 2013; "The South in Uncle Ho's heart", prize B in 2015; "New countryside of the Cham region", prize C in 2018; two works "Cham pottery production, preservation and development" and "Ripe grape season" both won prize C in 2020; “Cham Brocade”, B prize in 2023. Notably, in May 2025, artist Che Kim Trung received a "double" joy when he was the author who won B prize of the above award with the work "Raglai traditional craft preserved and developed"; at the same time, he was awarded a certificate of merit by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission for his outstanding achievements in promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in the second phase, 2021 - 2025.
Passionate about preserving and promoting Cham cultural identity
The house and gallery of artist Che Kim Trung is like a miniature Cham cultural museum with hundreds of paintings, ceramic and brocade products in many bright colors... arranged and hung all over the room by the owner. Each work is a theme, a story about the unique and attractive culture of the Cham people.

In addition to painting, since 2000, artist Che Kim Trung has spent time researching and designing thousands of new, highly applicable models, contributing to raising the value of Bau Truc Cham pottery. The primitive, monochrome ceramic vases and statues, through the skillful, meticulous, and creative hands of the artist, have become vivid works with brilliant patterns, loved by many domestic and foreign tourists.
For many years, artist Che Kim Trung has also been a homeroom teacher, teaching at several schools in the southern part of the province. She has inspired and trained many generations of students to have the knowledge and skills to register for university entrance exams. She also arranges time to attend teaching classes, instructing artisans and young generations of Bau Truc Cham pottery village and My Nghiep brocade weaving village (Ninh Phuoc commune) to diversify products, improve designs, patterns, and motifs on pottery and brocade in an artistic and highly applicable direction to attract customers and increase product value. The house where her family has lived and created art for many years is also a place to display, introduce and sell Cham pottery and brocade products, contributing to helping craft villages consume products, create jobs, and increase income...

“With the responsibility of a party member, teacher, and artist, along with doing a good job of teaching at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Dong Hai Ward), in the coming time, I will actively research and create paintings on the theme of “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style” in many aspects, especially topics about Uncle Ho’s soldiers, Khanh Hoa’s development , Cham and Raglai culture; actively research and create new patterns and motifs to paint on Bau Truc Cham pottery and put into My Nghiep brocade; continue to participate in classes teaching the art of making pottery and weaving brocade of the Cham people; promote and introduce Cham culture to domestic and foreign tourists...
