In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport , Kroos analyzed: “They are still lacking a player like me and are in the process of finding that. There are not many players like that on the transfer market. Talented faces in this position are also not easy to recruit.”
Alonso has not brought in a central midfielder this summer. The former Leverkusen boss's priority is to strengthen his defense. New signings like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen give Alonso a solution in a defense that has been weakened by injuries.
