Dong Nai economy achieves high growth

In the first 6 months of this year, Dong Nai's economic growth reached about 8.23%, ranking 13th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide. This is a great effort of the province in recent times. It is expected that Dong Nai's economic growth will be nearly 1% higher than the national average. Currently, Dong Nai has an economic scale of about 26 billion USD, the 4th largest in the country. Therefore, the province's high economic growth will contribute greatly to the overall economy of Vietnam.

To achieve the above results, since the beginning of the year, Dong Nai province (old) and Binh Phuoc province (old) have proposed key solutions and tasks to promote economic development and growth.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, after the merger of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces, the new Dong Nai province is still determined to achieve an economic growth target of 10% in 2025. To achieve the above results, departments, branches, localities, enterprises and people must be united and strive. In particular, Dong Nai will focus on key tasks such as disbursing public investment capital; mobilizing resources for economic development investment; promptly removing difficulties and obstacles of projects to ensure timely implementation; increasing investment promotion; promoting trade; promoting administrative reform and digital transformation.

Currently, with a two-level local government, many areas are decentralized and delegated to the commune level, which will facilitate individuals and enterprises in implementing projects in various fields. It is expected that the commune level will issue land use right certificates, compensate for site clearance, register annual land use plans, etc. Recently, projects in Dong Nai have been behind schedule, most of them are stuck in the planning and site clearance compensation stages. Therefore, enterprises all hope that the Government will soon have specific and clear instructions on the implementation of records and procedures at the commune and provincial levels so that enterprises can know and implement them. Projects that are implemented quickly and put into operation soon will contribute to promoting the economic growth of the province.

Dong Nai currently has many domestic and foreign economic groups implementing projects. Some of these projects have investment capital of up to several thousand billion VND, but are still in the process of completing documents and procedures. Therefore, if documents on planning, investment, land, and construction are simplified and resolved quickly, it will facilitate enterprises to quickly disburse capital to the province. At the same time, enterprises will also contribute greatly to the state budget.
