During the 2010 - 2024 period, Dung Quat Economic Zone contributed over 282 trillion VND to the state budget, accounting for about 80% of the province's total budget revenue.

Besides the achieved results, activities in Dung Quat Economic Zone and the province's industrial parks still face difficulties, the competitiveness of some enterprises is limited, and the ability to access the market and apply new technology is slow.

Economic growth is not consistent with the green growth trend, has not created industry linkages, connections between enterprises inside and outside the Economic Zone to develop into large-scale production chains with high added value. Access to land for projects is still difficult. Transport infrastructure and industrial infrastructure are still backward.
