More than 300 athletes entered the Pickleball competition "Fanning for children

On the morning of July 5, at the Picklezone Vinh Heritage court cluster (Vinh Heritage urban area, Nghe An ), the Opening Ceremony of the Pickleball Tournament "Cool fan for children - Nurturing knowledge" took place.

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy - Member of the Executive Committee of the Central Youth Union, Vice President of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the province, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province; Journalist Tran Quang Long - Head of the Representative Office of Tien Phong Newspaper in the North Central Region; Mr. Nguyen Danh Nam - Deputy Head of the Department of Sports and Physical Training Management, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Ho Phuc Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Head of the Youth Union and Children's Affairs Department, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Vice President of the Association, Head of the Social Department, the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association, along with representatives of the tournament sponsors and more than 300 athletes participating in the tournament.

The units presented 150 ceiling fans to the Organizing Committee to install for mountainous students in Nghe An province.

The Pickleball Tournament “Fanning for Children - Nurturing Knowledge” was organized by the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union in coordination with Tien Phong Newspaper, Nghe An Department of Education and Training and Nghe An Young Entrepreneurs Association to create a healthy playground, enhance exchange, learning and encourage the Pickleball practice movement in Nghe An province; contributes to continuing to effectively implement the movement “All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho” among the people.

Through the tournament, the Organizing Committee launched the charity program "Cool fans for children - Nurturing knowledge" and hoped to spread the message calling on the community to join hands to mobilize social resources to buy and install ceiling fans for schools in mountainous areas of Nghe An province before the new school year, thereby contributing to improving the learning and living conditions for students. Up to now, the Organizing Committee has received nearly 200 million VND in donations.

At the program, the Secretariat of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union also launched the "Nghe An Youth Pickleball Club" with 14 members.

The club was established with the goal of connecting young people who love sports, especially Pickleball - a new and exciting sport that is being warmly welcomed by young people. This is not only a playground for physical training but also a place to connect, spread positive energy and a beautiful spirit in the Nghe An youth community.

It is known that there are 155 pairs competing with more than 300 athletes. Of which, 72 pairs compete at level 4.2; 36 pairs at level 4.4 and 25 pairs at level 4.8. In addition, there are 22 pairs competing in the mixed doubles category.

The organizing committee presented thank you letters to sponsors and partners of the tournament.

Participating in the tournament, athletes have the opportunity to receive trophies and many attractive, valuable gifts from the tournament sponsors. The total prize value is up to 100,000,000 VND. During the tournament, the Organizing Committee has arranged fast food and beverage areas to ensure the health of the competing athletes.

It is known that the tournament is held on a grand, professional scale and is managed by experienced referees with 100% of them being certified Pickleball referees, including 1 national referee. The referee team is committed to managing the tournament objectively and impartially for the success of the tournament.

The organizers presented souvenirs including handheld fans and key chains to athletes participating in the tournament.

After the opening ceremony, the matches in the 4.2 competition and other categories will take place. The tournament will take place at the Picklezone Vinh heritage court cluster (Vinh Heritage urban area, Nghe An) on July 5 and 6.
