Immediately after the storm, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross Society called for relief for people in the flooded area of Yen Nhan commune and received active support from the Vietnam Red Cross Society and many volunteer clubs in the province such as the Green Volunteer Club, Bim Son Volunteer Club...
From the mobilized support, on August 29, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross organized a delegation to visit, encourage and give essential items and necessities to the people of Yen Nhan commune.
The delegation provided support to 60 disadvantaged families whose houses were damaged by storm No. 5, with a total gift value of more than 69 million VND.
At the same time, the delegation distributed 150 P&G water filter boxes worth nearly 32 million VND to 150 households with polluted water sources.
After the donation, the provincial Red Cross staff instructed people on how to use water filters to ensure clean water for daily use.
Emergency support activities of the provincial Red Cross Society have promptly helped households affected by floods in Yen Nhan commune overcome immediate difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
