“According to traffic accident data from the Ministry of Public Security , each year more than 10,000 people die and more than 15,000 people are injured due to traffic accidents. These numbers are pain and irreparable loss for tens of thousands of families. The awareness of compliance of many people, especially young people, is still limited. This contest is not only a playground, but also a strong message to the whole society about learning the law to understand, understanding the law to act, acting to protect oneself and the community,” Major General Nguyen Van Mung emphasized.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha said that the contest "Learning about the law on road traffic order and safety" was organized to effectively implement legal documents with the aim of raising legal awareness and awareness of compliance with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety for all classes of people, especially the young generation, workers and laborers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha said that, in reality, traffic accidents are still a burning issue, causing serious consequences for society. Equipping the community with knowledge and skills to participate in traffic safety is extremely urgent. The contest will take place in 3 months, from July 1 to September 30.
The prize structure of the contest will include 1 first prize worth 20 million VND; 3 second prizes worth 15 million VND/prize; 5 third prizes worth 10 million VND/prize; 15 consolation prizes worth 5 million VND/prize; and additional prizes for excellent entries in the contests. The contest summary and award ceremony is expected to be held in the fourth quarter of 2025.
