Donate 29 kg of gold to buy ambulances and promote local tourism

Nakashima Natsuo opened a beef restaurant in Minoo City in the mid-1960s and ran it for more than 50 years. He is now retired.

Last month, Mr. Nakashima donated his assets to the city and asked that the money be used to buy ambulances and promote local tourism , according to NHK on June 20.

The image is believed to be the amount of gold that Mr. Nakashima Natsuo donated to the city of Minoo, Japan.

Mr. Nakashima’s gift to the city, consisting of 29 kg of gold and one kg of platinum, is worth about $2 million. Information about his donation to Minoo City was provided to the press on June 20.

Also on June 20, Mr. Nakashima was invited to the city office and received a certificate of merit from Mayor Ueshima Kazuhiko.

Mr. Nakashima explained that he wanted to give back to the city what he had saved there for more than half a century.

Mayor Ueshima expressed his sincere gratitude and promised to use the money in accordance with Nakashima's wishes, according to NHK.
