Hai Phong receives the first unit from Hai Duong

On June 23, in Hai Phong City, under the witness of the leaders of Military Region 3 and the leaders of the two localities, the two Military Commands of Hai Phong City and Hai Duong Province held a conference to hand over, merge, and reorganize the Hai Phong City Military Command according to the new administrative unit arrangement project.

At the conference, leaders of the two local military commands approved the minutes of receiving and handing over staff work, party work, politics, logistics - technology... to prepare for the merger of Hai Phong City and Hai Duong province under the two-level local government model from July 1.

According to Major General To Thanh Quyet, Deputy Commander of Military Region 3, the merger and reorganization of the Hai Phong City Military Command aims to concretize the policy of the Party, the Central Military Commission and Military Region 3 in the context of the ongoing revolution in organizational apparatus and implementation of the 2-level local government model, in line with the development trend, as well as practical requirements in the management and operation of military and defense tasks.

According to Major General To Thanh Quyet, the merger process was carried out urgently but cautiously, without interrupting or affecting the quality and progress of performing permanent local military and defense tasks.

At the same time, ensure proactive completion of combat plans, strictly maintain military order and discipline, comply with the law and well meet mission requirements in the new period.
