On January 2, a clip went viral on social media, recording two men assaulting two other people on the street. Investigations revealed that the incident occurred on Nguyen Thi Tron Street, Vinh Loc A Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

In the clip, a man in a blue shirt and a man in a red shirt repeatedly beat two men on the street with their hands and feet. At the climax, while assaulting them, the man in the blue shirt crossed the street, grabbed two sticks, and continued to attack the two men, despite the victims not resisting.
At that time, some passersby discovered the incident, but no one intervened.
That same afternoon, Binh Chanh District Police took the two men to the headquarters for questioning. Initially, authorities determined that the incident stemmed from a conflict while drinking.
