People hospitalized with suspected food poisoning after eating bread in Long Khanh city.

According to initial information, the hospitalized people all ate meat-filled sandwiches at an establishment in Xuan Binh ward, Long Khanh city between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on April 30.

After eating, many people showed symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, fever, stomachache... Some people bought medicine to take at home but did not get better so they were hospitalized for treatment on the morning of May 1.

By the evening of May 1, Long Khanh General Hospital said that nearly 70 people had been hospitalized with suspected symptoms of food poisoning.

After being admitted to the hospital, doctors diagnosed that the patients had intestinal infections and were treated promptly. Some cases were discharged home after their health stabilized and there were no cases that progressed further.

Upon inspection, this establishment has a business registration certificate. However, there is no certificate of the establishment meeting food safety and hygiene conditions. The Long Khanh City inspection team has requested the establishment to temporarily suspend its bread business until an official conclusion is made.
