This is the fourth year the Ministry of Public Security has organized this exam to serve as a basis for admission to public security schools and academies. This year, nearly 23,000 candidates participated in the exam, an increase of about 5,000 candidates compared to last year.
At the People's Security Academy examination site on the afternoon of July 5, candidates were presented to complete the examination procedures. Tomorrow morning (July 6), candidates will take the 180-minute assessment test in the form of a written test.

Loving the police industry, Bui Hoang Duong (former student of Ha Huy Tap High School, Ha Tinh ) decided to choose the Security Service major at the People's Security Academy. In addition to this wish, to be more certain, Duong plans to register for the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda with his high school graduation exam score.
Several months ago, the male student participated in the local preliminary selection and proactively planned to review for the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test.
"I had to study quite hard recently, studying for two different exams at the same time. To balance this, I often try to study in class and summarize the knowledge I need to remember at home. In the evening, I spent time studying for the Ministry of Public Security's competency assessment exam," Duong said.
Choosing the CA4 exam code including Math, Literature, English, History, Geography, the male student set a target of about 80/100 points for this exam to be able to be admitted to his dream major.

Coming from Hai Phong , Pham Xuan Hieu (a former student of An Duong High School) was accompanied by three relatives to the exam location to cheer him on. Having dreamed of becoming a police officer since elementary school, at the beginning of grade 12, Hieu began to "wind up" and focus on reviewing for two important exams: high school graduation and the Ministry of Public Security's capacity assessment.
To get familiar with the test structure and not be confused during the test, Hieu also registered for an online course and practiced the test at home. The test code the male student chose was CA2, including Math, Literature, English, History, and Chemistry.
"Because my high school graduation exam did not go as well as expected, I am determined to do well on this exam," Hieu said.

As planned, on the morning of July 6, candidates will take the assessment test for 180 minutes. Candidates choose one of four exam codes to take the test according to their strengths, including CA1, CA2, CA3 and CA4 with three parts: Compulsory essay, mandatory multiple choice and optional multiple choice.
In previous years, candidates only chose one of two exam codes, CA1 and CA2. The Department of Training said that the adjustments in the structure of the 2025 assessment exam are to suit the first batch of graduating candidates from the 2018 general education program.
In 2025, the enrollment target for police academies and schools is 2,350. Schools will enroll students in three ways, including direct admission; admission combined with international language certificates and the results of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test; admission combined with the results of the high school graduation exam and the results of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test.
