On the afternoon of July 5, nearly 23,000 candidates participated in the 2025 Ministry of Public Security assessment exam completed registration procedures and listened to the exam regulations.
This year's assessment exam of the Ministry of Public Security has become "hotter" as the number of candidates has increased by nearly 5,000 compared to last year, while this year's quota for the People's Police academies and schools is only about 2,350 students. If calculated, the average competition ratio will be 1/9.7.
Notably, this year the People's Public Security Academy will recruit 100 students for the Party building and state administration major, while nearly 8,000 candidates registered to take the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam to be considered for admission to the academy. The average competition ratio is 1/80.
After deducting 10 direct admission quotas, the quota for the remaining two methods (considering international language certificates combined with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test and considering high school graduation exam scores combined with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test) is about 90 quotas. Thus, the average competition ratio is up to 1 'competing' nearly 89.
Major Trieu Thanh Dat, chief specialist of the Training Department, Ministry of Public Security, confirmed that this year the People's Public Security facility Political Academy continues to be the training in the People's Public Security with the largest number of candidates taking the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam.

The 2025 assessment exam of the Ministry of Public Security at the People's Public Security Academy Examination Council will be held at 10 examination sites, including 5 examination sites in the Northern region for candidates from Hue city and beyond; 5 examination sites in the Southern region for candidates from Da Nang city and beyond.
The People's Public Security Academy mobilized more than 1,200 officers, lecturers, students of the academy and units to participate in organizing the exam.
Last year, the admission score for the People's Public Security Academy for male candidates in the North using the CA1 exam was 19.97 points, CA2 was 23.49 points; for female candidates in the North using the CA1 exam was 20.81 points, CA2 was 25.52 points.
Male candidates in the South using CA1 and CA2 exams have standard scores of 21.02 and 22.68 respectively; female candidates have benchmark scores of 16.36 and 23.96 respectively.
On the morning of July 6, nearly 23,000 candidates participated in the assessment exam of the Ministry of Public Security officially took the assessment exam within 180 minutes.
The 2025 Ministry of Public Security assessment exam consists of 4 exam codes (CA1, CA1, CA3 and CA4) with 3 parts: mandatory essay, mandatory multiple choice and optional multiple choice.
The admission score is still the total score of 3 subjects in the admission combined to the People's Police School (accounting for 40%) and the assessment test score of the Ministry of Public Security converted to a 30-point scale (accounting for 60%) rounded to 2 decimal places, plus regional priority points, subject priority points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, bonus points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.
The formula for calculating admission scores is as follows:
Admission score = (subject 1 score, subject 2 score, subject 3 score) * 2/5 points of the Ministry of Public Security assessment test * 3/5 bonus points.
