Nearly 2,000 union members and workers participated in the Hai Phong

The event was held to celebrate the merger of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province, creating a competitive atmosphere among workers, civil servants and laborers; at the same time affirming the role and position of the trade union organization in the process of building and developing the city in the new period.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the City Labor Federation, emphasized: The merger of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province is not only an administrative and organizational decision, but also a major policy of the Party, demonstrating a strategic vision in restructuring the regional development space and enhancing national competitiveness. According to the Chairman of the City Labor Federation, the merger will contribute to creating a new growth pole, promoting effective regional linkages in the key economic region of the North, opening up many opportunities for strong and sustainable development in the next period.

After the merger, with a force of more than 550,000 union members, workers, and laborers, the working class of the new city will continue to affirm its role as a pioneering force in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country, the people who directly operate machinery, master technology, create material wealth for society; be the core force that turns development aspirations into reality, turns will into action, and makes important contributions to the rapid and sustainable development of the city in the new period.

After the merger, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation and the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, build an increasingly strong Trade Union organization, truly a reliable support for union members, workers and laborers. The Trade Union will continue to promote its role as a bridge between the Party, the government and the laborers, contributing to strengthening the great solidarity bloc, creating social consensus, accompanying the rapid and sustainable development of the city in the new period.

At the Festival, nearly 2,000 union members and workers enthusiastically participated in collective activities such as: mid-break gymnastics, running in response, and forming a map of Hai Phong city after the merger. Also within the framework of the program, friendly football matches between the Hai Phong City Labor Federation and the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation took place, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, exchange, and attachment between workers and laborers of the two localities.

The festival is not only an opportunity for cadres, union members and workers to exchange and meet, but also a place to spread the spirit of solidarity, arouse pride, create great spiritual motivation, encourage all workers to look towards a common future. That is the determination to build the heroic city of Hai Phong into a modern, ecological, civilized, affectionate port city and deeply integrated with the region and the world.
