Galatasaray are determined to bring Osimhen back to the club to strengthen their UEFA Champions League campaign. |
According to Footmercato , Galatasaray have agreed to raise the transfer fee for the Nigerian striker to 75 million euros (65 million pounds). If the deal is successful, Galatasaray will set a new transfer record in Turkish football.
The only remaining obstacle between the two clubs is the payment method. Napoli refused to pay in installments, while Galatasaray wanted to pay in installments to reduce the financial burden. For his part, Osimhen has reached a personal agreement to return to Galatasaray.
Osimhen agreed to sign a three-year contract with the Turkish club, with an option to extend for a further 12 months. Impressed by Osimhen's performance last season, Galatasaray decided to spend a lot of money to buy the striker.
During the 2024/25 season, Osimhen played for Galatasaray on loan and scored 37 goals, along with 8 assists in 41 matches in all competitions. He was instrumental in helping Galatasaray win the domestic double last season.
Previously, Osimhen also received attention from MU and Al Hilal. Notably, Al Hilal once offered Napoli 75 million euros, along with a salary of up to 40 million euros per year for Osimhen. However, this striker refused.
