In order to promote digital transformation in Indonesia, encourage innovation and develop high-quality digital human resources, contributing to realizing the vision of "Indonesia's Golden Generation" by 2045, FPT and the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a period of 5 years (2025 - 2030).

Under the cooperation agreement, FPT and Bappenas will jointly implement strategic initiatives to accelerate the digital transformation process in Indonesia. Specifically, the cooperation focuses on jointly developing national and industry-level digital transformation orientations and plans, with a focus on improving digital governance capacity through the implementation of e-Government systems , smart planning, and e-Monitoring platforms.

A key pillar of the partnership is digital workforce development. The two parties will design and implement comprehensive training and retraining programs in key areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software engineering, and data science . These programs will target civil servants, students, and young workers across Indonesia to build a future-ready workforce.

The agreement also promotes innovation through pilot projects that apply AI, green technology and smart agriculture to address challenges in urban management and sustainable development. FPT will provide strategic advice and policy contributions to shape Indonesia's digital economy, with a focus on areas such as logistics, fintech and digital infrastructure.

“To realize the Indonesia Golden Vision 2045, we must leverage technology, strengthen our industrial base, and invest in the next generation of digital talent. Through this collaboration, we will not only strengthen our national technological capabilities, but also jointly create a shared, inclusive, sustainable, and innovation-rich future for both Indonesia and Vietnam,” said Indonesian Minister of National Development Planning Rachmat Pambudy.

The signing ceremony is the result of an in-depth discussion during the visit to FPT by the Indonesian Government delegation in April 2025, led by Mr. Rachmat Pambudy - Minister of National Development Planning (Bappenas). During the meeting, the two sides discussed new cooperation directions, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence and human resource development. With this cooperation, FPT hopes to accompany Indonesia in realizing the vision of "Indonesia Golden Generation 2045", in which AI is considered a key growth driver for the digital economy.

Also in the series of activities in Indonesia, FPT has exchanged and signed cooperation agreements with a number of leading universities in Indonesia on transferring training programs in the fields of IT, AI, and Semiconductors.

Specifically, FPT signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Amikom Yogyakarta University, Bunda Mulia University (UBM), Institut Teknologi Indonesia and signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Ciputra University. These agreements contribute to expanding the international partnership network, creating conditions for Vietnamese and Indonesian students to access a global learning environment, while promoting research cooperation and innovation.

FPT leaders also had a working session with the Indonesian Ministry of Education. At the meeting, the Indonesian Ministry of Education leaders highly appreciated the practical training model of the FPT education system and proposed that the two sides establish a specialized team to exchange and share experiences in training high-tech human resources and transfer training programs for different sectors.
