The leader of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said that the Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy to 2030 has determined to develop Vietnam tourism with a sustainable and inclusive orientation on the basis of green growth, maximizing the contribution of tourism to sustainable development goals.
Following this trend, Whale Island Resort (Nha Trang) is an Eco-oriented resort, so it uses solar panels and recycled wood furniture. It also limits wifi so that visitors can connect with nature.
According to the investor, the project's development goal is towards sustainable tourism and responsible tourism, so the resort minimizes plastic waste. All materials are environmentally friendly. Activities such as tree planting, trash collection and coral reef protection are carried out regularly.
“ Big changes always start with the smallest actions. We hope that with our contributions, we can join hands with the global tourism industry in efforts to “clean up” the earth ,” the investor representative shared.
It is known that the entire resort has a total of 36 rooms, all of which are bungalows with Garden View Bungalow and Front Beach Bungalow room types. The materials used are mainly wood, bamboo and red brick floors. In particular, as an Eco-oriented resort, it uses solar panels and furniture made from recycled wood. Wifi is also limited so that visitors can connect with nature.
Recently, Whale Island Resort was honored as “Favorite Resort of 2024” voted by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Business Forum Magazine, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and readers.
Previously, in 2017, Whale Island Resort was listed by CNN as one of the 9 most beautiful destinations in Southeast Asia.
Whale Island Resort was built on Hon Ong Island in 1997 with a total area of 80 hectares, completely natural and uninhabited. In front is a nature reserve, behind is a large forest and the sea.
