Vietnam women's team finalizes official list for Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers

VHO - The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that coach Mai Duc Chung has finalized the list of 23 players for the Vietnamese women's team to participate in the qualifying round of the AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026, taking place in Viet Tri (Phu Tho) from June 29 to July 5.

Accordingly, 3 players not included in this list include: Nguyen Thi Kim Yen and Nguyen Hoang Nam Mi (Thong Nhat Sports Center), along with Ho Thi Thanh Thao (Than KSVN).

In the most recent training session, the team continued to practice professional content such as: fixed situations, organizing serves to put pressure on opponents, and coordinating team tactics.

Before starting the training session, head coach Mai Duc Chung reminded and encouraged the whole team to take care of their health, focus on eating, resting and living properly to have the best physical condition for the tournament.

With a young force combined with experience and high determination, the Vietnamese women's team is aiming to win the top spot in the group to get a ticket to the final round.

In the 2026 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group E with Guam, UAE and Maldives.

The teams compete in a round robin to score points, rank, and select the top team to enter the final round.

Accordingly, the Vietnamese girls will play their opening match against Maldives on June 29, then host UAE on July 2 and the final match against Guam on July 5.

These three matches all take place at 7:00 p.m. at Viet Tri Stadium. Fans can come to the stadium to watch live and cheer for Huynh Nhu and her teammates.

In addition, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) cooperated with FPT Television Company Limited (FPT Play) to carry out communication work and broadcast live the matches of Group E taking place at Viet Tri Stadium from June 29 to July 5.
