Cumulative sales in the first 5 months of 2025 of the sedan model dubbed the "national car" are also leading the segment.
This June, Toyota Vios is once again offering a 50% discount on registration fees with a maximum value of 30 - 35 million VND. In addition, the car also comes with a free body insurance worth 7 - 8 million VND. With this genuine promotion program, Toyota Vios is expected to maintain its performance in June. May 2025 saw the rise of Hyundai Accent when the car reached sales of 638 units. Compared to the previous month, sales of this Korean car model increased by 12.3%, helping Hyundai Accent take second place in the segment. Under the Hyundai brand, Accent is still the best-selling car model. Hyundai Accent in Vietnam is currently priced from 439 - 569 million VND, within the reach of many Vietnamese customers. In addition, the car also has a new design, more convenient and safe equipment. The highlight of this B-class sedan is the new ADAS active safety features. Standing in third place in the B-segment sedan segment in terms of sales is not the Honda City as usual. Instead, the City has dropped out of the three-horse race and given way to its compatriot Mazda2. Sales of the Mazda model in May 2025 reached 439 units, down 7.5%.
Compared to the trio Toyota Vios, Honda City and Hyundai Accent, Mazda2 has a cheaper price, only from 418 - 508 million VND. Unfortunately, the car has a big disadvantage, which is the narrow interior space. The car is equipped with a 4-cylinder Skyactiv-G gasoline engine, 1.5L capacity with a maximum capacity of 110 horsepower and maximum torque of 144 Nm. This engine goes with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 4th place in the B-class sedan segment in terms of sales last May belonged to Honda City. This Japanese car model sold only 308 units, down 67.7%. It can be said that Honda City's sales have been constantly going up and down like a roller coaster in the past few months. To maintain its appeal, Honda Vietnam is currently applying a program to support 50% of the registration fee for cars, helping customers save from 25 to 28 million VND. Honda City is quite expensive in its segment, ranging from 499 to 569 million VND. However, the car is popular thanks to its eye-catching design and good equipment. In particular, the car is equipped with ADAS active safety features in all versions. May 2025 was not a successful business period for Mitsubishi Attrage when sales decreased by 17.8% to 156 units. Therefore, the car is still in a quite low position in the B-class sedan segment.
In recent times, Mitsubishi Attrage has continuously had genuine incentive programs and June 2025 is no exception. This month, the car continues to receive a 100% discount on registration fees for the MT version and 50% for the CVT Premium version. The model with the highest sales decline in the B-class sedan segment last May was the Kia Soluto. This model had sales of only 14 units, down 75.4%. Therefore, the car continued to be in the top 10 worst-selling cars in the market in May 2025. Similar to Mitsubishi Attrage, Kia Soluto has a cheap price, only from 386 - 482 million VND, but the design and equipment are less impressive. This has made the Korean car quite difficult in the Vietnamese market during the past time.
