The city's leaders would like to express their gratitude to the medical facilities, professors, doctors, and medical staff who have boldly pioneered and researched so that we can develop and achieve achievements in healthcare for the people.

Focus on developing medical tourism

Associate Professor, Dr. Tang Chi Thuong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, brought to the conference lessons learned from countries in the ASEAN region to attract a large number of tourists for medical examination and treatment. This is a group of solutions for Ho Chi Minh City to soon become a healthcare center in the ASEAN region.

Accordingly, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia are the three countries voted as the leading destinations for medical examination and treatment in the region.

Lessons learned from these three countries are to focus on training high-quality medical human resources; developing modern infrastructure; constantly developing specialized medical techniques; developing medical tourism, combining modern medicine and traditional medicine...

According to Professor, Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, Ho Chi Minh City is a bright spot in the country in terms of healthcare work.

The Deputy Minister of Health hopes that the Ho Chi Minh City health sector will continue to pay attention to and increase the attraction of resources, invest in developing modern medical facilities commensurate with the requirements of specialized medical development; attract international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City to combine relaxation and medical examination and treatment.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City needs to pay attention to the quality of human resources, professional training for medical staff and preferential policies so that doctors and medical staff can work with peace of mind and take care of people's health.
