Math questions for high school graduation exam 2025 take a new direction

(Dan Tri) - This afternoon, more than 1.1 million candidates took the math test, the second subject of the 2025 high school graduation exam. The math test will be updated immediately after the exam ends.

The 2025 high school graduation math exam will be in a new direction, expected to create novelty for candidates when requiring the ability to solve practical problems through the application of mathematical knowledge to solve questions related to real-life contexts and interdisciplinary problems.

2025 is the first year that the high school graduation exam will be held according to the 2018 general education program. The sample exam was announced by the Ministry of Education and Training last October for teachers and students to familiarize themselves with. The exam consists of 3 parts with 34 questions.

The exam focuses on helping students develop self-study capacity, analytical thinking and mathematical reasoning as well as the ability to solve practical problems through applying mathematical knowledge to solve questions related to real-life contexts and interdisciplinary problems.

Therefore, to do well, students need to prepare for themselves a smart and flexible review plan and strategy, build a solid knowledge foundation while practicing to improve reading comprehension, analytical thinking and logical reasoning, and problem solving ability.

According to the exam schedule, the invigilators started distributing the exam papers at 2:20 p.m. and the candidates started taking the exam at 2:30 p.m. The exam time is 90 minutes.

A quick report from the Ministry of Education and Training shows that after the literature exam this morning, 10 candidates were suspended, of which 8 were carrying cell phones and two were carrying documents.
