Late afternoon on June 26, the second exam of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam ended. According to records, at some testing sites in Ha Tinh province, candidates and parents breathed a sigh of relief after completing the first day of the exam.
This year's Math exam has 24 exam codes, each code has 22 questions, including multiple choice questions with 3 formats: choose the correct answer (A, B, C, D), true/false and short answer. In previous years, the exam only had one multiple choice format.
Notably, the scoring method for true/false questions has changed a lot: each question consists of 4 small ideas, if the candidate chooses 1 idea correctly, they will get 0.1 point; 2 ideas correctly, they will get 0.25 points; 3 ideas correctly, they will get 0.5 points and only when they get all 4 ideas correct will they get 1 full point.
According to the candidates' comments, this year's Math exam was more difficult than last year's, with a high level of classification. However, the exam matrix closely followed the Ministry of Education and Training 's sample exam and the knowledge was in the program that had been learned and reviewed, so the candidates completed the exam in a quite comfortable mood.
According to the prediction of many teachers and students, with the level of knowledge of the test, the average score and 10 points this year will be lower than before; the score range ranges from 6-8 points.
Earlier that morning, the candidates completed the Literature exam with creative and innovative questions in line with the spirit of the 2018 GeneralEducation Program, closely following the sample questions. The questions were "open", topical and had a high level of differentiation. However, the candidates had been equipped with thorough knowledge, so achieving a score of 6-7 was not too difficult.
According to a report from the Ha Tinh Department of Education and Training, on the first day, the exam rules and regulations were strictly implemented, security, order, traffic safety, food hygiene and safety... were well implemented, ensuring safety. Candidates left the exam venue in a light and comfortable mood.
At 36 exam sites, 32 candidates were absent from Literature and 33 from Math, mostly independent candidates. The first exam day took place safely and seriously, with no staff or candidates violating exam regulations.
Tomorrow (June 27), at 7:35 a.m., candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program will take the first and second optional exams among the subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Languages), with 50 minutes for each subject.
The end of the morning is also the time when candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program exam close the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.
For candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program, in the morning at 7:35, candidates will take the Natural Science exam (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and the Social Science exam (History, Geography, Civic Education), each subject will take 50 minutes. In the afternoon of the same day, at 2:30, candidates will continue to take the Foreign Language exam, with a 60-minute test.
