Verifying information suspected of "Lack of Math questions for high school graduation exam in 2025"

The Ministry of Education and Training said it had learned of inaccurate information on the Internet about the leak of exam information during exam time at an exam site and had immediately forwarded the information to the Ministry of Public Security to investigate the source, motive, verify, and strictly handle the matter.

On the evening of June 26, the National Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam issued an announcement regarding information about "leaking exam information during exam time at an exam site".

The National Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam said that the first day of the exam (June 26), with two subjects: Literature and Mathematics, took place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations. The exam questions for both subjects received positive feedback from society.

However, incorrect information appeared on the Internet about the leak of exam information during the exam time at an exam site. The National Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam immediately transferred the information to the technical department of the Ministry of Public Security to investigate the origin, motive, verify, and strictly handle.

The National Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam said that the processing results will be announced later.

In order for the exam to go smoothly, the National Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam also asked people not to share unverified information that could cause public confusion.

More than 7,300 candidates dropped out of the Math exam

According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, more than 7,300 candidates skipped the Math exam in the 2025 high school graduation exam (afternoon of June 26).

Specifically, according to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the whole country has 1,145,449 candidates registered for the 2025 high school graduation exam (including 1,132,132 candidates following the 2018 GeneralEducation Program). The number of candidates taking the Math exam is 1,138,108, reaching a rate of 99.36%. Thus, 7,341 candidates have dropped out of the Math exam, including 5,432 candidates following the 2018 General Education Program.

During the Math exam, 5 candidates nationwide violated exam regulations and were suspended. Thus, on the first day of the 2025 high school graduation exam, 15 candidates nationwide were suspended.

This morning (June 27), candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program will enter the final session of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam with an optional exam consisting of 2 subjects; the time for each subject is 50 minutes.

Meanwhile, candidates studying the 2006 General Education Program will take the Natural Science or Social Science exam. On the afternoon of June 27, these candidates will take the Foreign Language exam to conclude the 2025 high school graduation exam.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27. Candidates taking the exam under the 2006 General Education Program will participate in 4 exam sessions: 1 Literature session, 1 Math session, 1 optional exam session (Natural Sciences or Social Sciences), and 1 Foreign Language exam session.

Candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program will take the high school graduation exam with 4 subjects: 2 compulsory subjects (Literature, Mathematics) and 2 elective subjects from grade 12 subjects (Foreign Language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic & Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology). Candidates will take the exam in 3 sessions: 1 Literature session, 1 Math session, 1 session for 2 elective subjects. Literature is an essay test of 120 minutes (Reading comprehension 4 points, Writing 6 points); Math is a multiple-choice test of 90 minutes; the remaining subjects are multiple-choice for 50 minutes.
