Data on the socio -economic situation in the first 5 months of 2025 from the General Statistics Office showed a clear positive trend, with stable growth each month. Accordingly, registered foreign direct investment (FDI) increased by 51.2%, estimated at 18.39 billion USD; realized FDI increased by 7.9%. International visitors reached 9.2 million, up 21.3% over the same period last year. Total retail sales of goods and consumer services increased by 9.7%, reaching about 2,851 billion VND.
Along with the economic recovery, the Vietnamese real estate market is also sending out many positive signals after a period of stagnation. In the first 5 months of the year, the number of newly established and re-operated real estate businesses has increased. Specifically, there were 2,064 newly registered businesses (up 13%) and 2,123 businesses returning to operation (up 39%) compared to the same period in 2024.
Notably, according to data from Batdongsan.com.vn , interest in real estate is clearly recovering, especially from the first quarter of 2023 to present. In addition, the macro environment continues to create favorable conditions for the market to recover. In 2025, credit growth is expected to reach 16%, while real estate lending interest rates continue to decrease, contributing to improving access to capital and promoting demand for housing and investment.
In addition, the coming into effect of new laws such as the Land Law, Housing Law, and Real Estate Business Law is also expected to create a more transparent legal foundation, promote investment capital flows, and gradually professionalize the market.
In that context, the PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards continues its mission of honoring pioneering businesses, promoting quality and innovation in the industry. This year's awards season has a special meaning and mark when introducing a completely new category, People's Choice Awards - the first time it has been present in Vietnam within the framework of the PropertyGuru awards system.
This category allows consumers to directly vote and honor investors who are highly rated for customer satisfaction, brand reputation, and project quality. The registration portal is open until August 22.

Qualified businesses can compete in new categories such as: Best Luxury Condo Development (Greater HCMC) - Outstanding luxury apartment project in the Greater Ho Chi Minh City area; Best High End Condo Development (Greater HCMC) - Outstanding high-end apartment project in the Greater Ho Chi Minh City area; Best Mid End Condo Development (Greater HCMC) - Outstanding mid-range apartment project in the Greater Ho Chi Minh City area; Best Affordable Condo Development (Greater HCMC) - Outstanding affordable apartment project in the Greater Ho Chi Minh City area; Best Luxury Housing Development (Greater HCMC) - Outstanding luxury housing project in the Greater Ho Chi Minh City area; Best Townhouse Development - Outstanding townhouse project; Best Townhouse Architectural Design - Outstanding townhouse architectural design...
This year’s brand new categories build on the success of the People’s Choice Awards, which were launched in Malaysia and Thailand. The expansion of the awards system is also a continuation of the memorable milestone of the 10th season in 2024, which not only honored outstanding achievements of the year but also specifically honored the “Property Developers of the Decade”.
The Final Gala Night and Award Ceremony will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on October 24, 2025.
The nominations will be evaluated by an independent panel of experts from the industry. The selection process is overseen by HLB, a global network of auditors and consultants, to ensure transparency and fairness. In particular, HLB will also be responsible for auditing the voting results of the People's Choice Awards.
