Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, awarded a certificate of merit to the representative of Hoa Phat Group - Mr. Ho Duc Tho, Deputy Director of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Company.
Recently, Quang Ngai, Thai Binh, Phu Yen provinces... have awarded certificates of merit to Hoa Phat Group for its outstanding achievements in implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by 2025.
Specifically, in 2024, Hoa Phat supported Quang Ngai province with 30 billion VND, Phu Yen with 20 billion VND, Thai Binh with 1 billion VND for localities to implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses under the direction of the Prime Minister. Previously, at the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, the Group supported 25 billion VND for Soc Trang and Tra Vinh provinces to repair and build new houses for poor households. Also in 2023, Hoa Phat supported 8 billion VND to build houses for poor households and Agent Orange victims in Hung Yen province.
As of June 20, 2025, the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Quang Ngai province has been basically completed, 2 months earlier than the time as directed by the Prime Minister, with 6,331/6,331 houses, reaching 100%. The total cost of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is 319.14 billion VND, of which the budget source is 261.577 billion VND and the support source from organizations, individuals and enterprises is 57.563 billion VND. Hoa Phat has supported Quang Ngai province with 30 billion VND, accounting for 9.4% of the total implementation cost.
Mr. Vu Xuan Ha, representative of Hoa Phat Group (5th from right) received a certificate of merit from the People's Committee of Phu Yen province for collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.
In Phu Yen, as of June 25, the entire province has completed the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households, near-poor households, policy families, and meritorious people, exceeding the planned progress (before August 31), eliminating 2,235 temporary and dilapidated houses with a total cost of more than VND 218.7 billion. Hoa Phat supported Phu Yen province with VND 20 billion, accounting for 9.1% of the total cost of implementing the program.
Speaking at the Conference to summarize the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in 2025, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged and thanked organizations and individuals who accompanied and supported funding so that the program could be implemented quickly and smoothly, creating a warm home for people to "settle down and make a living".
Representing the leaders of Phu Yen province, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa An, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, commended businesses, organizations and individuals in the process of implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area and affirmed that the success of the program is a vivid demonstration of the spirit of solidarity, sharing, responsibility and determination in caring for people's lives.
Previously, responding to the call of the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and ministries to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of 2025, Hoa Phat Group has supported the construction of more than 1,500 houses for the poor and disadvantaged households across the country.
In addition, Hoa Phat Group has sponsored 10 billion VND to Lao Cai province to support people in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 (Yagi) and rebuilding and rebuilding houses. Of which, it sponsored the construction of 28 new and solid houses in A Lu commune, Bat Xat district with a total value of 5.6 billion VND. It sponsored roofing sheets for 55 houses of the people as well as some schools and community centers in Lang Nu and Nam Tong with a total value of 2.6 billion VND; and presented 2,000 gifts worth 2 billion VND to people in Bat Xat, Bac Ha and Bao Yen districts.
