After nearly 10 months of rapid construction, the Vietnam Exhibition Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi officially handed over the site on June 27, establishing its position as one of the 10 largest exhibition complexes in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia. This national-scale project is not only a modern, multi-functional exhibition space but also a symbol of Vietnam's aspirations to reach new heights in the new era.

The project symbolizes the aspiration to rise up in the new era.

Located on Truong Sa Street, Dong Hoi and Xuan Canh Communes (Dong Anh District), the Vietnam Exhibition Center was built to become a destination for national and international political , economic, cultural and tourism events. After less than a year of construction, the main items of the project have been completed, especially the Kim Quy Exhibition House and the outdoor exhibition area, ready to serve the Exhibition of socio-economic achievements in celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized: “This is not only a project with technical and spatial organization value, but also a cultural project of special significance, worthy of the region and the world - a symbol of the spirit of innovation, development and aspiration to rise in the new era. On behalf of the Government and the Prime Minister, I warmly commend and appreciate the efforts of Vingroup Corporation in the past time. The Corporation has seriously implemented the Prime Minister's direction with the spirit of turning the impossible into possible. Thanks to that, the project has been constructed at lightning speed, so far exceeding the set schedule."

Vietnam Exhibition Center is planned with a total area of ​​over 900,000m², of which the indoor exhibition space alone is up to 304,000m² - bringing the project to the top 10 largest exhibition center complexes in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia.

The Exhibition Center Complex includes many items, notably the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall - the world's largest circular structure with a total area of ​​104,863 m², a height of over 56m, designed in association with the legend of the Kim Quy god and the Co Loa cultural heritage. The massive dome uses 24,000 tons of steel with a safety factor twice as high as usual, combined with translucent materials that meet global green architecture standards.

The space inside Kim Quy is divided into 9 large halls that can be opened continuously or separately, with a floor load of up to 5 tons/m² - enough to display large-sized machinery. Each hall is fully integrated with services such as restaurants, cafes, and function rooms, creating maximum conditions for exhibitors and visitors.

Along with that is an outdoor exhibition area of ​​over 200,000 m² - ranked top 3 in the world in terms of scale - suitable for organizing festivals, concerts, international fairs. In particular, the North yard area is specially designed for large music festivals with a capacity of up to 50,000 people.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the Vietnam Exhibition Center is identified as one of the key and strategic projects. Right from the beginning, this project was expected to become a world-class exhibition center.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung highly appreciated the close coordination between Vingroup, Hanoi authorities and relevant ministries and branches in mobilizing resources to build a modern exhibition center: "The Vietnam Exhibition Center has been expected since the first foundation was laid, which is to build a regional world-class center. That is why the Party and State leaders have entrusted Vingroup to carry out the investment process to build this center in a very short time. With the spirit of the country's development in the new era of building a strong and prosperous country, the Group has coordinated with the capital Hanoi and relevant ministries and branches to mobilize resources to build the Exhibition Center according to high technical standards.

As a state management agency in the field of exhibitions, we would like to share in the joy and sincerely thank the tireless efforts of Vingroup Corporation to have a project of great stature and in the top 10 in the world in terms of area and scale, in terms of architecture and design."

In particular, the iconic project - Kim Quy Exhibition House not only bears a unique architectural mark associated with national legends, but also demonstrates Vietnam's aspiration to reach international stature in the exhibition industry. General Secretary To Lam's direct visit to the project on June 26, according to the Minister, is a great recognition and encouragement for the units participating in the project implementation.

Destination of global events

Vingroup is the unit assigned by the Government to coordinate the construction and design of the project. The implementation process mobilized international consultants and high-tech experts to ensure global standards. In particular, the exhibition coordination work - an unprecedented task - was also actively coordinated by the Group with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The project not only aims to serve the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, but also lays the foundation for the exhibition industry in Vietnam - a field with great potential but has not been properly exploited. With a flexible design, integrated technology and professional organization space, the Vietnam Exhibition Center promises to become a meeting point for global cultures, businesses and initiatives.

This will be an opportunity for Vietnam to demonstrate its outstanding achievements in 80 years of development, affirming the stature of a country that is strongly transforming in international integration.
