Traceability of goods via GCheck platform
The Southern Project 06 Implementation Working Group under the Digital Transformation Service Center - GTEL Corporation Branch, Ministry of Public Security is actively coordinating with the Department of Industry and Trade and relevant departments of the province to deploy model 22 to develop tourism associated with the development of regional specialties, supporting people in applying population data to authenticate electronic identification in developing household economy and digital economy. Accordingly, the working group visits each enterprise and household trading in OCOP products in the province to "hold hands and guide" the implementation of the process of tracing the origin of goods via the GCheck platform.
In Cho Moi commune, the working group guided Tien Anh Production - Trading Company Limited (LLC) to have a 4-star OCOP almond cake product. At the same time, guided Thai Minh Nguyen Trading - Service One Member Co., Ltd. to implement the traceability process of 4-star OCOP honeysuckle tea products. During this working trip, the group also worked with Tai Phat Production - Trading Company Limited, located in Binh Hoa commune and supported the business household Vuong Thi Lien, My Hoa Hung commune to implement the traceability process of Thai Hoa satay products...
Businesses and households were instructed on how to create production batch records, declare ingredients, processing procedures, and then print QR codes to stick on product packaging. Mr. Tran Le Hung - Director of Tien Anh Company said: "Thanks to the direct guidance of the working group, I was able to create QR codes for each batch of goods, process online orders and issue electronic invoices, saving time and being very convenient."
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Su - Deputy Head of the Project 06 Implementation Team in the Southern region said: “Each QR code is a “digital ID card” that helps consumers easily look up all information about origin, raw materials, production time and responsible facility. Thereby, contributing to improving reliability, affirming quality and standardizing OCOP products in a transparent and professional manner. This not only increases reliability but also contributes to fighting against counterfeit and fake goods, one of the vital factors when OCOP reaches out to domestic and international markets”.

Digitalizing tourism and consuming local specialties
Along with GCheck, the VNeTrip digital tourism platform is also being deployed by An Giang province as a tool to support businesses in the fields of services, travel and specialty trade. This application allows businesses to post tours, restaurants, hotels and OCOP products. Consumers can book tours, rooms, buy regional specialties, make electronic payments and track orders all on the same platform.
One of the highlights of VNeTrip is the ability to integrate data with state management agencies such as the Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Tourism, helping to monitor revenue, invoices, tax management and business operations in a transparent and cost-effective manner. In particular, the QR code scanning feature helps consumers check the origin of OCOP products before deciding to buy.
To ensure effective application, the working group organized practical training sessions for local businesses. Training contents included QR code creation, service updates, electronic payments and online check-in. Some units have initially applied successfully, typically Dong Xuyen hotel cluster and Phan Nam tourist site, Binh Duc ward. Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Huynh Tran - Deputy Director of Phan Nam Trading - Service One Member Co., Ltd. shared: "Thanks to the VNeTrip platform, customers anywhere can buy tickets and check-in online. Previously, they had to go through foreign platforms, now with the domestic system, operations are easier and more proactive".
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Su, the implementation roadmap of the two platforms GCheck and VNeTrip will be divided into 3 phases: Business training, communication - stimulus and official operation on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2026. This will be the time when An Giang launches the province's digital ecosystem with the slogan: "Reunion Tet - Smart travel, economical shopping". The program is expected to attract consumers nationwide with hundreds of OCOP products and tourism services that are fully digitized, transparently traceable, and convenient for shopping.
It can be said that the two digital applications GCheck and VNeTrip will be two "technology doors" opening a new direction for OCOP products and An Giang tourism industry to gradually transform towards transparency, intelligence, savings and sustainability.
