Cho Moi Commune was established on the basis of merging Cho Moi town and Kien An and Kien Thanh communes. In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Cho Moi Commune Party Committee focused on innovating leadership and direction in implementing political tasks, creating clear changes in awareness and action. Resolution targets were implemented synchronously and effectively. In particular, the agricultural sector has shifted strongly towards applying high technology, linking production with the market. Many OCOP products of the commune have affirmed their brands. Farmers have effectively converted crop structure from rice to vegetables and fruit trees, increasing the land turnover coefficient to 4.6 cycles/year, an increase of 0.2 cycles compared to 2020.

The new rural construction program has been vigorously implemented by Cho Moi commune. Investment in traffic and electricity infrastructure has been focused. The whole commune currently has 12/16 schools meeting national standards, reaching 75%. Total budget revenue is nearly 203 billion VND. The locality mobilized more than 2 billion VND to support 7,155 students in difficult circumstances; completed the target of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total cost of more than 1.5 billion VND, building 24 new houses, and repairing 4 houses.

According to Party Secretary and Chairwoman of Cho Moi Commune People's Council Huynh Thi Nguyet Hong, in the past term, in addition to state budget support, the commune proactively mobilized more than 93.8 billion VND from social resources to invest in construction and infrastructure development. Many large projects were implemented such as: Cho Moi Town Urban Area 1 (11.2 hectares); Cho Moi Town Urban Area 2 (10.31 hectares) of TNR Holdings Vietnam Real Estate Investment and Development Joint Stock Company; Cho Moi Park renovation and upgrade project, etc.

Currently, the whole Cho Moi commune has more than 2,900 households engaged in trade and service, creating regular jobs for more than 5,000 workers. The system of markets, shopping centers, convenience stores such as Co.opmart, Bach Hoa Xanh, wholesale markets... is developing strongly. The fields of transportation, telecommunications, insurance, and cable television are developing quite well. The rural market system has been invested and upgraded, serving well the needs of people and trade.

Industrial and handicraft activities in the commune have developed steadily, with 1,907 establishments and enterprises. Social security work has been implemented synchronously; vocational training, job placement and labor export have achieved positive results, contributing to reducing the poverty rate to 1.12%.

The appearance of Cho Moi commune is increasingly changing. Roads are concreted and asphalted; solar lights illuminate rural roads; the landscape is clean and beautiful. The fields of education , health, environment, culture and sports are improved. The material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved. National defense and security are maintained; the work of preventing and combating crimes, social evils and traffic accidents is promoted, consolidating the people's trust in the Party and the State.

Identifying that "people are the root", the Party Committee of the commune focuses on the work of mobilizing the people and the government. The team of cadres and civil servants is built in the direction of "respecting the people, being close to the people, understanding the people, learning from the people and being responsible to the people". Many good models have been deployed such as mobilizing nearly 42.3 billion VND from the society to effectively implement 4 projects on bridges, roads, housing, and planting trees. Specifically, the commune has built 11 bridges, repaired 7,787m of roads; planted flowers and trees over 36.05km; built 155 solidarity houses and charity houses. The Fund for the Poor mobilized more than 3.2 billion VND, supporting 6,741 poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households.

According to the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Cho Moi commune, the commune has an important strategic position on the Tien River and Nam Vam Nao River axis, is a gateway connecting trade, expanding regional linkages, promoting socio -economic development. With a diverse economy, dynamic trade and services. The infrastructure after the merger is invested synchronously, creating a new, modern and sustainable development space. The long history, revolutionary tradition, and rich cultural heritage are great spiritual resources, fostering the mettle, arousing the pride and aspirations of the entire Party Committee and People of the commune.
