How to get free 5G data, messages, and calling minutes from your carrier on the occasion of September 2nd

(Dan Tri) - On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, two major network operators in Vietnam, Viettel and VinaPhone, are running a promotion program, giving away free 5G data, text messages and calling minutes to users.

Two major network operators in Vietnam, Viettel and VinaPhone, are offering promotions to users to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the country's founding.

In particular, Viettel network gives bonus points that users can convert at will, while VinaPhone network gives users 4G/5G network capacity to use.

Viettel gives bonus points to exchange for 4G/5G data, free calling minutes and messages

Viettel is currently running a promotion program giving away free 4G/5G network capacity, calling minutes or text messages to use on National Day.

If you are using Viettel mobile network, users can follow these steps to take advantage of the promotion:

- First, you need to install Viettel's TV360 online TV viewing application on your smartphone. Android users can download the application here and iPhone users can download the application here.

- After installing and activating the TV360 application, click on the icon "2/9 Connect to full joy" in the lower right corner of the application interface.

Sign in to your app account (if you haven't already). You can use your Gmail or Facebook account to quickly sign in to the app without having to register a new account.

- After successfully logging into your account, on the interface that appears, click the "Get now" button in the "80,000 Viettel++ points" section.

Viettel++ bonus points will be added to your My Viettel account within 24 hours from the time the user participates in the promotion program.

- Next step, you activate the My Viettel application on your smartphone. This is an application that allows users to manage Viettel subscription accounts.

In case you have not installed the My Viettel application, Android users can download the application here and iPhone users can download the application here.

- Click the “Login” button on the main interface of the My Viettel application, enter your phone number and click the “Login with OTP” button. Wait a moment, an OTP code will be sent to your phone number, the user enters the OTP code to log in to the My Viettel account.

- After logging into your My Viettel account, select “Viettel++” in the menu below. Now, you will see that your bonus points will be added to 80,000 points.

Users can use these bonus points to exchange for 4G/5G data packages (1,000 points can be exchanged for 200MB of data), call minutes (500 points can be exchanged for 5 minutes of free domestic calls) or free text messages (100 points can be exchanged for 10 free text messages).

Depending on usage needs (frequent Internet access, calling or texting), users can exchange the awarded points for network data, text messages or free calling minutes to use.

Note

To participate in Viettel's promotion program, mobile subscribers must have a monthly consumption fee of at least 10,000 VND in the three months of May, June, and July.

In case you follow the instructions above but receive the message "You are not eligible to receive 80,000 Viettel++ points", it means you have not met the requirements and cannot participate in the promotion program of Viettel network.

Viettel's promotion will last until September 2 and bonus points must be redeemed before the deadline ends.

VinaPhone gives away 4G/5G network capacity to subscribers

Another major network operator in Vietnam, VinaPhone, is also running a promotion program, giving away free 4G/5G mobile network capacity to subscribers on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

To participate in this promotion, VinaPhone subscribers text “80nam” to 888, and mobile network capacity will be added to their subscription immediately.

The promotion will last until September 5 and can only be applied once per subscriber. The free data will be valid for 7 days from the date of receiving the promotion.

Notably, VinaPhone will base on the amount of mobile data users use monthly to give promotional gifts, so the 4G/5G network capacity received from the promotion program will vary depending on each subscriber, in which the maximum gift will be up to 80GB.
