At the exam site of Me Tri Secondary School, Nam Tu Liem District ( Hanoi ), a candidate was brought to the exam by his family on a stretcher.
That is Nguyen Trung Kien, a student at Hanoi High School for the Gifted in Sports . In this year's exam, the male student took the exam to get the results to apply to Bac Ninh University of Sports.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tham, the boy's father, said that yesterday afternoon (June 26), after finishing his math exam, on his way home, his son had an accident. A car hit Kien from behind, causing him to be thrown into a flower bed on the street, seriously injured and had to be hospitalized. At the hospital, the boy was given a neck brace.

Although my child is still in a lot of pain and his hands are weak, this morning the candidates are taking the final exams, so my family and I asked the doctor for permission to return to the exam hall. The hospital sent medical staff to support his health on the way. My child is determined to take the exam, so we had to let him go, but he still has to lie on a stretcher, his neck is immobilized, and he has difficulty raising his hand to write.
"Luckily, this morning, I only had to fill in the answers for the multiple-choice test, so I was able to do it. But yesterday, I couldn't take the essay test," said Mr. Kien.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that early this morning, the Examination Steering Committee received a report from the head of the examination center about the case of a candidate who had an accident during the exam. The family wishes to continue to let their child take the exam to complete the graduation exam on the basis of the doctor's permission.
This morning, the candidate was taken to the exam site by family on a stretcher, but was still conscious and able to write the exam by himself without any other assistance.
“In the spirit of ensuring the rights of candidates, the Examination Steering Committee agrees with the plan for the examination site to arrange a special examination room and have invigilators and supervisors fully supervising according to regulations. After the exam, candidates will be immediately taken back to the hospital for treatment. In this case, medical staff at the examination site are also ready to handle situations and support candidates,” said Mr. Cuong.
The Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training added that during the exam, there are countless situations that can happen, but candidates with a spirit of effort and try their best to complete the exam.
