Investment in Tan Thanh Wind Power Plant Project with capital of 4,700 billion VND

(ABO) On June 24, 2025, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province (now the People's Committee of Dong Thap province) issued Decision No. 1719 approving the investment policy and investor approval for Tan Thanh Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company (under Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company, stock code GEG) to implement the Tan Thanh Wind Power Plant Project.

Tan Thanh Wind Power Plant project shares the land, infrastructure, and existing assets of Tan Phu Dong 1 and Tan Phu Dong 2 Wind Power Plants.

Tan Thanh Wind Power Plant has a designed capacity of 100 MW, with an electricity output of about 264 million kWh/year. The planned sea area from the 6 nautical mile line inwards is about 421.92 hectares. The sea area surveyed for wind turbine installation is 3,467 hectares.

Tan Phu Dong 1 Wind Power Plant and Tan Phu Dong 2 Wind Power Plant have come into operation.

The Tan Thanh Wind Power Plant Project has no proposal for land lease from the State. The project shares the land, infrastructure, and existing assets of the Tan Phu Dong 1 and Tan Phu Dong 2 Wind Power Plants currently operating to generate electricity from Tien Giang Wind Power Joint Stock Company, including: 33 kV underground cable system; 110 kV operator and transformer station; 33 kV and 110 kV power pole and line systems on a land area of ​​176,122.6 ^m2 of Tien Giang Wind Power Joint Stock Company leased by the State.

The total investment capital of the project is 4,700 billion VND, the operating period is 45 years from the date of the investment policy decision. The project implementation location is in Tan Thanh commune, Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province (now Go Cong Dong commune, Dong Thap province).

The project is expected to start construction in September 2026 and be fully completed and put into operation in July 2028.

The project is invested with the goal of building and managing a factory using wind energy to generate electricity, connecting to the national grid; providing additional power sources, contributing to ensuring energy security.
