Dong Thap: Launching the "Green March" Campaign in 2025

(ABO) On the morning of July 1, the Youth Union of Dong Thap Provincial Police coordinated with the Youth Union of the Provincial Military Command, the Youth Union of the People's Police University, and the Youth Unions of communes and wards to organize the launching ceremony of the "Green March" Campaign for the Armed Forces in 2025.

The "Green Summer" Campaign in 2025 will take place for 3 weeks, from July 1 to July 21, in 57 communes and wards. During the Campaign, cadres, union members, young people of the Police, Army, and students of the People's Police University will promote the pioneering and volunteering role of young people in developing the economy, culture, and society, maintaining political security, social order and safety.

At the same time, create conditions for young people to approach the community, practice skills and work experience; build a good image of the Armed Forces in the hearts of the people; carry out practical and effective activities, making an impression on union members, young people and society.

The key contents of the Campaign are developing community digital technology and security and order: Supporting people to make ID cards, install and use the VNeID application; propagating crime prevention, drugs, fire prevention, traffic safety; preventing child abuse; building new rural areas and civilized urban areas: Planting trees, protecting the environment, implementing the program "For a green Vietnam".

Along with that is the movement to maintain security and order, eliminate environmental pollution; build and repair charity houses for poor households; community activities and social security: Organizing voluntary blood donation; giving gifts to policy families and disadvantaged families; free medical examination and medicine distribution; promoting ethnic culture and traditionaleducation ...

At the ceremony, delegates signed an agreement to deploy the model of "Youth volunteers patrolling to ensure social order and safety, traffic safety in the Green March 2025 Campaign"; presented symbolic plaques of youth projects and tasks. Saigon Ngo Gia Tu Eye Hospital and the People's Police University supported 20 cataract surgeries for people in difficult circumstances in the province, each worth 18 million VND. The total support cost was 360 million VND.

In parallel with the Launching Ceremony, the Organizing Committee coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society, Can Tho City Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital and related units to organize a voluntary blood donation program for more than 500 officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police, students of the People's Police University and people in the province.

At the same time, in coordination with the Provincial General Hospital, Saigon Ngo Gia Tu Eye Hospital and sponsors, we organized a program to provide general examination, eye examination, free medicine and gifts to 200 people in difficult circumstances in My Tho, Thoi Son, My Phong, Dao Thanh and Trung An wards.

After the launching ceremony, the volunteers set out to implement the Youth Flower Road Project at the Huynh Van Diep self-managed youth road, Binh Hanh hamlet and visited policy families and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Cho Gao commune, Dong Thap province.
